This is what your new job looks like

As project leader High Tech Systems you are responsible for realizing projects for the High Tech industry. These are often complex mechatronic systems, often at the limit of what is technically possible with challenges in the field of submicron motion control, complex control software, (thermal) stability, contamination and optics. At least as challenging is coordinating the work within your own team, the collaboration with our end customers and other parties with whom we work in these projects. You also manage a multidisciplinary engineering team consisting of Electrical, Mechanical and Software Engineering.


Your tasks and responsibilities

Leading High Tech projects with final responsibility for the content, time and money is not easy but it is extremely challenging! Think of projects where you work on development projects such as one-offs and protos where you can move on nanometers. You will work with fanatical engineers from various technical disciplines such as mechanics, electronics and software.

As a project leader you are closely involved in state of the art developments. The end customer has an idea in mind and you make it happen, together with your engineering team. Taking care of the communication with our end customers and the external parties is of course part of your tasks. Working out calculations, project plans and schedules are familiar tasks for you as well as managing, coordinating and supervising all project employees involved from different disciplines both internally and externally and from start to finish.


Your other tasks are again very diverse and consist of

  • Feasibility studies and pre-studies;
  • Specifications and quotation preparation;
  • Concept, design and detailing;
  • Acquisition;
  • Responsible for building, testing and the FAT;
  • Responsible for installation, commissioning and the SAT.

Job preferences

  • An engineering education at the Higher Vocational/ University Education level preferably in the direction of Mechatronics;
  • Electrical engineering, mechanics or a related field;
  • At least 3+ years of demonstrable work experience in a (High Tech) development environment;
  • You have proven managerial and/or coaching skills;
  • You are analytical, enterprising, can separate main and secondary issues well;
  • You are solution-oriented;
  • You are enthusiastic and open to ideas from others;
  • You are proactive and able to translate the needs of our end customers into concrete solutions;
  • You are practical, pragmatic and would even like to tinker with the workshop with your colleagues;
  • You are representative and a fully-fledged discussion partner for end customers and partners;
  • You can communicate well in both Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
