Delivery of 7 cells

At ZEST-Innovate, we have developed and delivered seven different production cells. These cells enable efficient product assembly while continuously monitoring every process step. The basic setup is uniform, but thanks to a customer-specific tooling plate, the cell can be easily adapted for different products. This way, a single cell can serve multiple industries and ensure error-free production. From automotive to plastics.

The advantages of this assembly cell

  • Versatile use: A standard cell that can be adapted to the product. Only the tooling plate, which is specifically designed for the product, needs to be exchanged. This means the cells can be integrated across different industries.
  • Complete process monitoring: With the help of sensors, the process is monitored in such a way that only error-free products are assembled. For this reason, the cells can also be used by employees with a distance to the labor market.
  • Eliminates a logistical step: They are more cost-efficient than full automation and enable direct processing without unnecessary intermediate storage or additional logistical steps. Products can be automatically fed in and processed directly within the cell.
  • Ergonomic: Each cell is height-adjustable and equipped with its own lighting, ensuring operators can always work under optimal conditions. In terms of software, the options range from a simple PLC program with signal lights to a fully integrated camera system with its own HMI.

What makes it even more interesting: the cells are compact and easy to move, making them flexibly deployable anywhere in production. For example, directly next to an injection molding machine.

“With these standard cells, we combine flexibility, process reliability, and ease of use. This makes them widely applicable and future-proof,” says Lars Verheijen, Mechanical Lead Engineer at Zest-Innovate.
