ZEST-Innovate qualification system developed

ZEST goes international!

What started as an open question from a client in the semiconductor industry quickly grew into a fully developed qualification system for testing critical modules. Within just twenty weeks, our team realized a completely operational in-house tool, from initial concept to operational system. A challenging trajectory in which speed, flexibility, technical depth and close collaboration came together.

The client needed a solution to functionally test and qualify modules before they are integrated into the final system. ZEST-Innovate developed a tool that simulates the complete operational environment of the module. This allows critical components to be validated at an early stage and any deviations or functionality issues to be identified in time.

Because all disciplines were able to collaborate internally and respond flexibly to changes within the project, the system could be fully developed, tested and realized in a short time. The solution directly contributes to product quality, reliability and a more efficient integration process.

All expertise under one roof

This project clearly demonstrates where ZEST-Innovate excels: multidisciplinary development with short lines of communication and a flexible approach. For the realization of this tool, specialists from mechanics, electrical engineering, flow and thermal engineering and software development worked closely together in one team.

All disciplines came together in one integrated system, fully aligned with the client's requirements and the high standards within the semiconductor industry. For the required precision, a granite base construction was used among other things, ensuring stability and accuracy during the testing processes.

It is precisely the combination of different areas of expertise and the ability to make quick decisions within one organization that made it possible to arrive at a complete solution in a short time.

Temporary cleanroom, permanent ambition

The growing demand from the semiconductor sector and the experience ZEST-Innovate has built up within this industry over the past years have led to the next step: the investment in a permanent cleanroom.

This allows us to carry out testing, validation and qualification processes entirely in-house. Where this previously took place partly at client sites, systems can now be fully tested, qualified and cleanly delivered from our own facilities.

 This offers several advantages:

  •  Fully clean delivery of systems
  • Testing and qualification carried out entirely in-house
  • Shorter integration and commissioning time at the client's site
  • Less dependency on external cleaning processes
  • Greater control over quality, planning and lead time

Overseas - clean shipment

This project also marks a special milestone for ZEST-Innovate. For the first time, a high-tech system from ZEST-Innovate is being built and commissioned on the other side of the world.

After full validation in our cleanroom, the system is carefully packaged clean and prepared for transport. The shipment process is also fully managed by ZEST-Innovate, ensuring the system arrives safely and under controlled conditions at the destination.

But it does not stop there. Our own engineers travel along to build, integrate and commission the system at the client's site. From cleanroom to final destination, the same team remains involved throughout the entire process.

The suitcases are packed and the final checks have been completed. The machine has arrived on site and tonight our colleagues are boarding the plane to start the next phase of the project on the other side of the world: the clean installation, integration and successful commissioning of the system at the client's site.

A journey that began with an open question, and ends with a fully in-house developed solution that will soon be operational worldwide.
